Stephen Haunts – After Light

I have released my latest album called After Light. This is a new project for me and a departure from Creature. I have self titled this project and I intend to release quite a lot of work under this name over the next few years. I am just brimming with ideas.

After Light is a Dark Ambient soundscape project and it is pretty bloody dark. You can read more information at the After Light site.

The album is avaialble from all the usual online digital retailers, (iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, eMusic, Amazon etc). But if you buy the album direct from Haunted House Records, you get an additional 17 minute remix track for FREE. This track sounds great and will only be available from Haunted House Records.

Curtis Roads Interview

One of my favourite guilty pleasures in sound design is that of granular synthesis. Sound created from millions of tine sound particles. I am currently readin Curtis Roads excellent yet head spinning book Microsound.

Monolake Intervews

For many years I have found the music of Robert Henke very inspiring. Robert it the creative force behind Monolake and was one of the founding fathers of the software Ableton Live of which my studio is totally dependent.

Zoetrope and Lustmord Score

I am a huge fan of the dark ambient pioneer Lustmord. One of my favourite albums of his is the sound track to a short film called Zoetrope.

2 Creature Tracks Licensed by the BBC

The BBC licensed 2 of my music tracks for use in this program, ‘Tough Guy or Chicken‘ on BBC 3, Episode 6 – Bahamas, where 5 blokes swim with sharks. Unfortunately the beeb didn’t tell me which program it was until after it aired, but they have sent me a DVD with it on

They licensed, Hive and Mirror off the Nightmares and Dreamscapes disk. 2 Dark Ambient tracks used for some underwater tense scenes with the sharks
